Mom's Birthday/Father's Day

Blog Readers: This will be a hefty weekend recap as it was Mumma's birthday on Friday and Father's Day on Sunday!!

On Saturday the City of Gardiner had a riverfront celebration. Who wouldn't want to celebrate the Kennebec River?? They close off Water Street and have vendors and nonprofit groups. Mumma ate a lot. What's new.

We tried going into the library for the book sale but the main part was closed and not wheelchair/stroller accessible. Someone should call the town CEO.

Oh look...leaves!

After our fun at the festivities we went to Grampie and Grammie's to celebrate Mumma's birthday, Father's Day, and Grammie's retirement. We had an awesome meal with family. Not much can beat that.

For Father's Day Seth ran the 5k race at the SeaDog stadium. Here we are waiting for the race to start. I wish we had pictures of him coming in to the finish line but someone was hungry and fussy.

Dad finished second in his age group!! He we are waiting to get the trophy.

Abe went up with Daddy to get the trophy.

After the race we wanted to go to Local 188 for brunch but Abrahm had different plans and wanted to take a rest. So we drove to Brunswick and went to the Seadog...which is appropriate since we were just at the SeaDog stadium. Dad fed Abrahm biscuit and ketchup! He loved it. He also had cantaloupe, honey dew melon, watermelon, strawberries and blueberries.

After brunch we went over to Maine Running Company which is where Dad works now. MRC also happens to be across from Gelato Fiasco. Abrahm tried some of Mumma's mimosa and strawberry lemonade sorbetto. All that food plus a nap on the back way home equals this:

He was a mess!!!

Our neighbor invited us over for a swim in his pool. Abe had never been swimming so this was very exciting for all of us.

He didn't really seem to think much of the pool. He didn't cry but he didn't laugh or smile either.

All snuggled up for the short walk home.

What an amazing weekend.
