July Vacation

During the week of the 4th of July Abe and I had took some time off to spend together and with Auntie and Catie visiting from RI. Luckily we picked a great week and the weather was very cooperative. Here are some highlights from the week.

On the first day we went to Damariscotta Lake.

Abe thought the water was pretty great at first.

I think after a few minutes he got chilled so we hung out on the beach.

We had hummus with carrots and pretzels for lunch. Auntie and Catie were nice enough to share their peaches with Abe.

We have a little sunshelter that we hung out in as well.

Catie and Abe did such a good job playing together. I was actually really amazed. She thinks he is fun and he is amazed by her. He loves to sit and watch her.

Here Abe is watching Catie dance.

We went for a walk down Grampie's road.

Who needs fancy toys when you have wooden spoons and old dishes! He loved pushing them along the floor and chewing on the spoon.

Apparently this was Mrin's when she was a little girl. It makes me think of Stevie Wonder.

Abe, Mommy and Daddy took a family trip to Boothbay on Saturday. We had a great time walking around and looking in the shops.

Trying on hats:

Here is Abe flirting with the ladies in one of the shops. She said she could tell he hadn't missed a meal.

When we are on vacation and we get take out, we get to eat in the living room! It was really hot so we got Thai food, rolled the high chair into the living room and watched Indiana Jones. Abrahm thought this was fabulous. He loved eating in a different room.

I bought Abe a little pool to cool of in. He is looking pretty cool!!

Catie helped me make lemonade for Abe's teachers. We also made chocolate cookies which we made mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches with. She is a good helper.

We had a really great vacation and I was sad to see it end. Abe's school is closed for a week next month so we will be off again.
