Sick Kiddo

At the end of our vacation Abe spiked a fever. I thought he seemed a little off and at 4:00 Sunday morning we took his temp and it was 103.8. Yowza. We controlled it with Tylenol for the day but in the evening he was a melted pool of baby. So drapey and clingy and made this pitiful whimpering sound. He stayed home from school Monday. Luckily the temp had come down late that morning and stayed down. But dang...it was 90 degrees and humid out!

How do you cool off a feverish and teething baby?

They say to give a frozen washcloth to a baby who is teething. How about putting it on his head? Yep, that works.

Abrahm likes to chew on the wooden spoon. How about adding some mint chocolate chip ice cream to the spoon? Yep, that works too!

And lastly, hanging out in the jumperoo in front of the screen door watching the cars go by. The boy loves trucks and motorcycles. This helped too.

My boy is back to his old self and I'm so thankful!
